Health & Safety Training Health & Safety Trainings

For over 25 years, CBTR staff has provided Toxicology and Occupational Health & Safety Training courses to staff at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and Florida Department of Health, as well as other public and private entities. These courses comply with OSHA 40 hour and 8 hour refresher training requirements for hazardous waste site personnel, RCRA hazardous waste inspectors, site safety supervisors, and others. The training involves site hazard evaluation, toxicology, chemical safety, occupational health guidelines, monitoring equipment and procedures, personal safety equipment, and individual case studies. This project also has allowed the training of many technical student interns at FDEP, both in the areas of engineering, health and safety, as well as program assistance within the hazardous Waste Management Program.
